Before replacing or specifying an open cell, check four things against your driver electronics.
Diagonal, bezel ear positions and screw hole pattern. A 55" from two brands rarely shares a mounting pattern — check the mechanical drawing, not just the diagonal.
LVDS vs V-by-One (and lane count), connector model, panel operating voltage. The suffix code on the model number usually signals the interface variant.
Match the T-CON/scaler capability: FHD 1920×1080 vs UHD 3840×2160, and refresh expectations for signage or TV use.
LED bar configuration and driver voltage. Backlight mismatches are the most common retrofit failure — confirm before ordering volume.
Grade definitions vary across the market. Ours are written on the quotation — here is the baseline.
| Grade | Function | Cosmetics | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| A+ | Full spec, zero defects | Near-new, minimal marks | Premium TV builds, brand programs |
| A | Full spec, zero functional defects | Light cosmetic marks allowed | Standard TV assembly, integration projects |
| Tested refurb | Functionally verified | Visible wear, documented per unit | Repair channels, price-sensitive markets |
Whichever grade you buy, it is confirmed in writing on the quotation and packing list — see Inspection & Grade Definitions.
